I am here honest

Hello all,

Yes I know what you are thinking, that I am rubbish at this whole thing. And to be honest I am not going to hide away from those accusations!

I have been a busy little bee though!

So I have been to the Rock En Seine rock festival in Paris! Which was fantastic, got to see some amazing bands some I have never seen and some I have not seen I a good few years! I saw the Deftones who i haven't seen in it must be 13-14 years eurgh it makes me feel old! And the I saw some new acts who right know I can't for the life of me remember the name of but they we kiwis and freaking sweet! A great day was had.

After that I moved north, towards the Uk as i have a course booked for the 8-9 th of this month to finally after a years and a half get to finish off my Yachtmaster Ocean!

Oh it wasn't all play sailing though! On my meandering way through some amazingly beautiful French countryside i had another breakdown!

Turning a corner I heard a sickening bang and the all to familiar sounds of something metal running off on the roads, the breaks where applied in a fast motion and to my shock I stopped quite quickly. So out I jumped searching the road for what i was sure was going to be something dangerous and stupidly expensive to repair. I found a washer that was it!

I changed my clothes moved the van to a conveniently placed curb and began to crawl underneath to find my problem, nothing. Not best happy! Out came the bible not holy scripture but the Haynes manual. After a while back under I found my enemy, the drivers side anti roll ball that links onto the steering system had decided to shear itself apart! Shit! I though. However after a quick ring to the boys at Syncronutz in Shotts. Who are T25 specialists and true gentlemen. They reassured me that after removing the offending item I would be able to drive along "Nae Bother" my trust in those guys thankfully well placed got me out of trouble!

So that is how I find myself here on the Isle of Wight ready somewhat to do my Ocean.

Tale told!

Now I know that this is supposed to be a photo blog yes I have some great photos to share however I am in a campsite on my iPad and they ain't on here! I'll get them posted up tomorrow if I survive the weather for a start and my mad dash last minute studying that is.

Ciao for now!

SORRY

Hi All.

Ok so i have been really busy and have not had time to get on the internet!

What have I been doing well....

To start with I went to the Wedding of Mr Richard Dalton to his fabulous new bride Mrs Melanie Robichaud. We had an amazing day and Rich is very lucky to be welcomed into an amazing Family!

So after the hangover cleared which i can tell you was quite severe, i headed to the south of france and then onto corsica where I am right now.

But an interesting trip down was had, I broke down for the first time not so happy about it but gladly bella look after me and we were sorted in about 3 hours after being taken off the motorway by a tow truck! Not so dignified i can tell you.

Now i know what you are thinking where are the damned photos. Well i haven't had a chance to play with the yet. So i will get to it asap I promise.

But here is one I think you all might like!

Everyone love a good wedding!!

Old Skool

Hi there,

So i invented what I personally think maybe the greatest sandwich ever created!

Get a french stick, half it. Open the half up and grill, then slice cheese and layer inside melt!

Meanwhile, get some chilli oil, two spring onions, garlic, cherry tomatoes and fry off. Add to that some pastrami. Heat.

Put the two items together and BAM sandwich heaven!!

Enjoy with a chilled glass of Rose.

After that i needed a wee walk and spotted this coming into the campsite i was in. Crazy. Check out the size of the caravan!

Been roughing in for a few days!

Hello,

Ok so i have been out in the wilds of the Scottish borders over the past few days. AMAZING!

I left Scotland to go to Liverpool to collect some Captains chairs that i'd bought off of Ebay, and let me tell you that they have made an amazing difference. So comfy I could just drive and drive.

So fitted them lickedy split, and set off to set up camp some where. Ended up just out side of Sibbaldbie. A tiny little hamlet just outside of Lockerbie where i used to live.
So I woke up in the morning after my lovely nights sleep now i am fully kitted out. And went over to take a photo of my old house. There it is above! The white house just there. Burnside cottage! Amazing not really changed that much since i left it all those years ago. Mind you they have changed the garden. My mother would not be best happy!

After that was on the old roads and decided to go over to Moffat. Again an old friend of mine. Lived there for a few years as my parents were running a B&B. So took a walk around town and spotted the old church next to my old school. It looked great with the gray foreboding clouds brewing above it so i had to take a picture.

After that I moved myself onwards to St Marys Loch. Just a little further north, I caught my first ever fish on that loch! However this time I didn't try my luck. No rod you see. The fish were safe! But i did stop to have a look around for old times sake and just had to take a picture of my van sitting there in the field looking fab.

That night I roughed it. Well if you really can call camper van living roughing it? What I mean is i didn't stay in a site! Lovely to wake up to nothing but silence around. Had a great breakfast and moved on around the Loch. I drove around and around saw some great things. Three Eagles sitting on a fence just chillin' an amazing drive.

I took a wee self portrait up on a hill where there was not another living soul for miles. Got me feeling deep and meaning full. So here I am! Thinking? Not sure.

Stay posted. Not sure what the weekend has in store yet. Trying to find something to do!

Any ideas give me a shout!

Tarbert

Hi all,

So went down to Tarbert yesterday to have a little look at the raft race they were having down there!

How ever it was as dull as dish water. So didn't stay long, after that went over to Crinan. Where rumor had it suggested that the tall ships were they. Upon arrival though it was quite clear that this was just a rumor! Unless that is they had put on dome form of cloaking device!

Alas, i did have time to snap these three little boats

On the trip up to Sunny Scotland,

I picked up some hitchhikers!

Really nice people, they were garbage pickers after the carnage of the Glastonbury festival. Paul and Alice.

They said that the amount of garbage they found was horrific and that they could have stayed another week but had already been there two weeks and found it hard going.

So here they are.

First post

Here we go!

So i have now left the world of super yachts behind to move to a world of free time and super slows!

My new camper in all her glory? Shes a beaten up old girl but does the job. The inside is much better than the outside.

So from now on a photo everyday! Will be posted as soon as I get internet connection. No i am not going to promise that there wont be loads of photos of the van as there will be. But i am hoping to meets some interesting people along the way.
