Hello,
Ok so i have been out in the wilds of the Scottish borders over the past few days. AMAZING!
I left Scotland to go to Liverpool to collect some Captains chairs that i'd bought off of Ebay, and let me tell you that they have made an amazing difference. So comfy I could just drive and drive.
So fitted them lickedy split, and set off to set up camp some where. Ended up just out side of Sibbaldbie. A tiny little hamlet just outside of Lockerbie where i used to live.
So I woke up in the morning after my lovely nights sleep now i am fully kitted out. And went over to take a photo of my old house. There it is above! The white house just there. Burnside cottage! Amazing not really changed that much since i left it all those years ago. Mind you they have changed the garden. My mother would not be best happy!
After that was on the old roads and decided to go over to Moffat. Again an old friend of mine. Lived there for a few years as my parents were running a B&B. So took a walk around town and spotted the old church next to my old school. It looked great with the gray foreboding clouds brewing above it so i had to take a picture.
After that I moved myself onwards to St Marys Loch. Just a little further north, I caught my first ever fish on that loch! However this time I didn't try my luck. No rod you see. The fish were safe! But i did stop to have a look around for old times sake and just had to take a picture of my van sitting there in the field looking fab.
That night I roughed it. Well if you really can call camper van living roughing it? What I mean is i didn't stay in a site! Lovely to wake up to nothing but silence around. Had a great breakfast and moved on around the Loch. I drove around and around saw some great things. Three Eagles sitting on a fence just chillin' an amazing drive.
I took a wee self portrait up on a hill where there was not another living soul for miles. Got me feeling deep and meaning full. So here I am! Thinking? Not sure.
Stay posted. Not sure what the weekend has in store yet. Trying to find something to do!
Any ideas give me a shout!
